I am a former Intended Mother. Before I had my children I went through 6 fresh IVF cycles, 3 frozen cycles, over 100 embryos, 3 miscarriages, two Gestational Surrogates, and an Egg and Sperm Donor. It was a heart-wrenching, expensive, lonely, 4-year journey. The Fertility Agency was created in 2004 and was inspired by my own experience and the desperate need for compassion combined with professionalism. Together, Lauri de Brito and I created an agency that is world-renowned for its ability to offer support and professional expertise, while maintaining a personal touch. Prior to starting The Fertility Agency, Lauri and I were friends and television producers. We agree that producing babies is much more rewarding than producing television!! Kathryn is an active member of SEEDS, ASRM, MHB, PVED, RESOLVE, the ABA, and as a former TV producer - the PGA. She has appeared on The Today Show, Voice of America, numerous documentaries, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, iParenting, Vogue and many other publications.

I was 37 when my then-husband and I decided to start a family. My first daughter came easily and we immediately tried for number two. Six and a half years later plus countless infertility treatments, all I had to show for it was 8 heart-breaking miscarriages – so I turned to surrogacy. I interviewed top agencies but they were all about the money with no compassion. We eventually “settled” for an agency and our Surrogate was wonderful, but our agency was not. I turned to my friend Kathryn for support throughout my journey. Years later, my kids mean everything to me and it’s hard to remember the depression I felt about my infertility. Today, nothing makes me happier than helping create loving families around the world. Lauri is an active member of SEEDS, ASRM, PVED, RESOLVE, MHB, and DGA. She has appeared on Voice of America, numerous documentaries, and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, ABC Evening News, Vogue, Forbes and many other publications.

(2022, International parents) Our journey with The Fertility Agency was amazing and exciting from the very first beginning. We were blessed to be matched with a wonderful surrogate, who gave her heart and soul for the success of the process. We both were also supported with a professional and thoughtful coordinator on behalf of the agency that helped us throughout the complex process, even during the hard times of Covid19 and its implications. It is a long and expensive journey, and things might go wrong, but the agency kept supporting and helping everywhere they could - before, during and after the pregnancy. Their work was extraordinary, and we're thankful for that.

(2022, International parents) We started our surrogacy journey three years ago. We interviewed several agencies and compared costs while understanding our gut feelings. We live in the UK and it is difficult to have a surrogacy journey when you are so far away, you lose your sense of control as there isn't much you can actually do to move things forward. The Fertility Agency came highly recommended from our contact at San Diego Fertility Clinic and mostly dealt with Kathryn and Heather. It was clear from the very start that they genuinely cared and have a true passion to help create family, we knew we could trust them, they have a wonderful balance of being practical and approachable. We had a couple of delays in our journey due to unforeseen circumstances and Kathryn and Heather were always supportive and understanding when we needed to take a break. They went far and beyond their roles to support us, which gave us the strength not to give up. Everything is simple when there are no problems but you recognize the true professionals when things don't go to plan. They make you feel safe to keep going, and this is priceless.
